Connection with maximum capacity and efficiency

WDM, CWDM, DWDM

Are you experiencing a capacity shortage? Do you want to save time and money on installing new fiber-optic cables?

In that case, WDM offers a scalable and sustainable solution. It allows you to connect multiple light sources to a single fiber. It provides lightning-fast bidirectional data transmission over a single fiber, for maximum efficiency and capacity.

Benefits

With xWDM, you can increase your capacity without additional cables

  • Transferring large files at high speeds, even over long distances
  • Scalable
  • Future-proof

Ideal for

With WDM, you’re guaranteed high-quality connectivity. This makes it ideal for connecting data centers, large office environments, and Internet or cloud exchanges. Examples of companies or industries where we deploy WDM solutions include:

  • Data Centers
  • Governments
  • Education
  • Health Care
  • Internet Service Providers (ISPs)

Working at the speed of light in two directions

For a long time, it was standard practice to connect a single light source to a single fiber optic cable. But what if you need to transmit more data than a single light source can handle? WDM provides the solution. This technology transmits multiple light sources through a single cable, which are then neatly separated from one another at the destination.

Another major advantage of WDM is that you can transmit data in both directions at the same time, as if you had a super-fast highway with multiple lanes. This allows you to make the most of your fiber-optic network while using less energy.

Growing data volumes? No worries. Simply by upgrading your end devices, you can increase the capacity of your existing connection—without digging or laying additional fiber. Sustainable, scalable, and ready for the future.

For short and long distances. Which WDM variant do I need?

  • CWDM (Course Wavelength Division Multiplexing)
For bidirectional transmission up to 70 kilometers and a maximum of 16 channels.
  • DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing)
For bidirectional traffic over distances of 80 kilometers or more with more than 16 channels.
  • Single Fiber WDM
For high-bandwidth, bidirectional traffic over long distances. After 100 kilometers, the signal can be amplified again. This makes it ideal for WAN applications that require a signal to bridge greater distances with higher payloads than other connections can handle.

Get Started with WDM Right Away

WDM connections offer very high bandwidths and low latency. They support multiple protocols. So if you work with real-time data, server replication, or cloud environments, WDM is the solution.
